Bikaner is not a hill state. Its fort is Junagarh, and Junagarh is not one of the six UNESCO hill forts of 2013. Founded in 1488 by Rao Bika. Junagarh was developed in the late sixteenth century under Rai Singh.

A Rathore house descended from Marwar. The Karni Mata tradition at Deshnoke is part of the founding story and should be labelled tradition. Bikaner is not a hill state. Its fort is Junagarh, and Junagarh is not one of the six UNESCO hill forts of 2013.
