Why do some answers ask me to verify a fact?
District boundaries, fees, train times, schemes and exam rules change. Those records are marked and dated. Evergreen history and culture are written more directly, still with sources.

What is ghewar?
Quick answer
Ghewar is a disc-shaped Rajasthani sweet of batter poured into hot ghee so it sets into a honeycomb, then soaked in sugar syrup. It is closely associated with Teej.
Detailed answer
Shops distinguish plain ghewar from versions topped with mawa or malai. The festival season is when the best kitchens bother. Out of season you may be eating a stored or ordinary batch.
It is very sweet and very rich. A small piece after a meal is the usual way, not a whole disc per person.
