What is Keoladeo National Park?

Quick answer

Keoladeo National Park at Bharatpur is a wetland famous for birds. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is not a tiger reserve, and winter is when migrant birds make it especially worth the trip.

Detailed answer

The park is a managed wetland of dykes and tracks, easy to visit by foot, cycle or the park’s own rickshaw system when that is operating. Water level decides how good a year is. A dry year is a different park from a flooded one.

It pairs naturally with a trip that is already in eastern Rajasthan, or with Agra and Fatehpur Sikri if you are crossing the state border, not with a Jaisalmer week.
